POPPY REYNOLDS
Piano, Music and Movement Teacher
I am a movement and sound artist who offers an individual approach to teaching piano and movement. I have been creating and studying music and dance since I was 6-years-old
and it continues to surprise me and bring out my best.
Interpretation and individualism are my main focus points when teaching and I am very excited to introduce students to this process of the language of sound and movement.

After studying music, music technology and dance at Godalming College, I continued down the dance path at Chichester University, where I was able to collaborate with many dance artists and gain valuable experiences. My 3 years at Chichester also allowed my creations of music and dance to come together through my studies and enable me to expand my experience by working with dance companies such as Motionhouse and Dance Woking, whilst also developing my own original music work.
I am working towards developing my own moving music company, Groovements, where dance and music come together and compliment each other through the same process.

I started teaching piano with Starr Meneely at Surrey Piano Institute and have since had a growing number of students who show such enthusiasm and improvement every single lesson we have together.

Poppy Reynolds worked for Surrey Piano as a Private Piano Teacher throughout this past winter (2019/2020). She also taught our group classes, both our Preschool Music Classes and Early Music Classes (ages 4-6). She has ended her teaching with us only because I was forced to close the school during the Covid-19 crises.
Poppy is an enthusiastic and talented teacher. She is creative and patient, and forms positive relationships with her students and their families. She collaborates well and is always ready to explore new ideas and methods to meet the needs of her students.
